Welcome to Mulberry Whin
Flowing through S.S.S.I grassland at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, Mulberry-Whin is over 1 mile of Double Bank Chalkstream fishing. Forming part of the nationally renowned and exclusive “Driffield West Beck”. The river is spring fed from numerous smaller streams and chalk aquifers, giving it the classic pristine Chalkstream clarity.
Although well-stocked Mulberry-Whin has a strong head of wild trout and a large number of very big grayling (3lbs plus) as well. They are clearly visible holding steady in the current over clear gravel beds, or moving between the numerous swaying fronds of weed in the beautiful clear water. The stunning scenery and vast array of different fishing situations makes this an ideal location for the discerning angler on what has been described as one of the best stretches of Chalkstream Fishing available in the U.K.
This superb stretch of well maintained water is one which few have been allowed to fish in the past.
From 2002, Mulberry-Whin became available for the first time ever on a strictly limited day ticket basis, with booking essential.
